When ABC School Equipment, Inc. decided to create a new subsidiary specializing in a range of professional display products including whiteboards, chalkboards and tackboards, Amara Grimes Design prepared exploratory branding concepts to stimulate a discussion on their future brand. The concepts were specifically designed to set the new professional product line apart from the parent company’s
established identity as a school equipment supplier. The Platinum line was intended to reach beyond traditional school applications to expand the company’s marketshare into corporate and professional settings. As such, the new branding needed to reflect a more sophisticated aesthetic to appeal to the architects, contractors and suppliers who specialize in such settings.
